What should I do if I need to report a claim when the office is closed?
  • Please call the carrier's 24-hour claim hotline found in your policy to report your claim or use our contact numbers listed on our website.  

 

What do my auto coverage terms mean, and how do they apply?
  • Liability protects you for personal injury and property damage by a third party. Comprehensive covers things beyond your control such as theft, glass breakage, fire and vandalism. Collision coverage provides repairs to the damages caused by a collision.

 

Do I need special coverage on my auto policy to drive carpools?
  • Umbrella policies are a useful tool in these situations. Please contact us for more information.

 

I've already reported my claim. How long is the wait for an adjuster to contact me?
  • Allow 24 to 48 hours after reporting your claim. If we have not contacted you within 48 hours, please call our office at (904) 646-0310.

 

Water has severely damaged my property during the weekend. I tried to get someone to come out and look at it, but there is no one available. May I do some maintenance until someone can come to my property?
  • If you have found the source of the water, you should do whatever is possible to stop any further damage. If additional servicing is required, you must keep all receipts and records. You may construct temporary repairs until an adjuster can come to the property.

 

What health insurance companies does The Della Porta Group represent?
  • We represent many of the major insurance companies.  Those include, but are not limited to:  Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, United Healthcare, Health Options, and Humana.  Whichever company you decide to be your provider, our Agents will assist you in finding the best options to suit your needs.

 

My windshield is broken. Do I have to wait for the adjuster to see it to replace it?
  • Make sure you have comprehensive coverage on the vehicle. If comprehensive coverage applies to the vehicle, then you can take the vehicle to a glass repair shop for repair or replacement. The bill can be submitted to the carrier, however, if there is a deductible for the coverage, that must be paid before the carrier will pay for the repairs.

 

How can I make changes to a policy?
  • Your account representative should be contacted directly, but keep in mind that changes or cancellations may not be handled by voicemail.
